Tim Dickinson BSc FRICS IRRV(Hons) Chartered Commercial Valuation Surveyor

Tim Dickinson is the Senior Partner of Irvine Nott LLP, having joined the Partnership some 36 years ago, previously working in private practice with firms of Chartered Surveyors in both Exeter and Plymouth.

Graduating from South Bank University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Estate Management, Tim is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and an Honorary Member of the Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation.  After qualifying, Tim spent several years specialising in residential building surveys and residential valuations for secured lending purposes.  Over the last 20 or so years, however, Tim has specialised in commercial property, now being recognised by the RICS as a Chartered Commercial Valuation Surveyor.

Tim’s specialisms include the preparation of RICS Red Book reports for commercial lending, valuations for probate and inheritance tax purposes, rating and leasehold enfranchisement work.  Property categories include commercial investments, hotel/licensed and surgery/healthcare premises.

As an Auctioneer, Tim has conducted many property auctions over the years, together with a variety of Auctions for local charities.  Tim believes in traditional values and principles, coupled with modern efficient service and keeping the business in its widest relevance to the world in which we live.

Latterly, Tim has shared his wide experience in professional practice with other surveyors, having presented full-day Seminars on his specialist work.

36 years of experience in private practice has given Tim a wide range of experience in all commercial valuation work.  His specialisms are as follows:

Valuations for Tax Planning, Divorce Valuations, Lease Renewals and Rent Reviews, valuations for Insurance Purposes, Schedules of Condition and Schedules of Dilapidations.

Over the years Tim has prepared a variety of expert witness reports and has also attended Court as an expert witness for both valuation and Landlord and Tenant matters.

Robert joined the practice after graduating from the University of West of England with a BSc Honours degree in Estate Management. Robert is a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has also qualified as both a Domestic and Non-Domestic Energy Assessor.
